South Africa’s Potential New Variant
According to articles on New Frame and Bloomberg, new research suggests that South Africa may be facing a new variant which is being referred to as the C 1. 2. variant. The variant was first detected in Mpumalanga and Gauteng in May 2021 and has now circulated to all nine provinces as well as England, China, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mauritius, New Zealand,
